OREANDA-NEWS. „There have never been so many successful projects with Austrian participation. In this way we can support a total of 13 innovative projects with 3.1M€,” said Austrian minister for science, research and economy, Reinhold Mitterlehner in a press statement published July 29, 2016. He draws a very positive conclusion on the latest selection process for Eurostars-2 projects (cut-off 5); adding that the results show the big innovation strength of Austrian SMEs.

In cut-off 5, Eurostars-2 participating countries and the European Commission will invest an estimated total of 72 M€ in 103 transnational innovation projects involving 27 different countries. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) account for 68% of all project participants and are the main beneficiaries of Eurostars funding.
