Combined Insurance and a Chubb was the Signature Sponsor of the NCOA Fifth Annual Comedy Night Salute to the Troops
OREANDA-NEWS. Combined Insurance, a leading provider of individual supplemental accident, disability, health, and life insurance products, and a Chubb company, was the Signature Sponsor of the Non Commissioned Officers Association's (NCOA) Fifth Annual Comedy Night Salute to the Troops, held this week at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas.
Combined Insurance presented the NCOA with a check for $15,000 during the Comedy Night, which featured comedian and Air Force veteran Paul Rodriguez. NCOA's Comedy Night is a charitable event created to help raise money for Snowball Express, an organization that serves the children of fallen military heroes who have died while on active duty since 9/11. Every year, Snowball Express brings children together from all over the world for a four-day experience filled with fun activities that have included outings to sporting events, dances, amusement parks, and more. The event connects children with others who have gone through the same experience they have in an effort to create new, happy memories and to give them the opportunity to share feelings about their loss.
Identified as the number one Military Friendly® Employer by G.I. Jobs® Magazine in 2015 and 2016, Combined Insurance provides new career opportunities for veterans, and supports veteran charitable organizations, such as Snowball Express, Luke's Wings, Fisher House, Wounded Warriors in Action, and the Jason McKie Foundation.
"We search for opportunities to support groups that work to provide assistance to our nation's military, veterans and their families. It is an honor for Combined Insurance to support the NCOA and Snowball Express, which go above and beyond to help the families of those individuals who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom," says Joseph Pennington, National Military Program Manager at Combined Insurance.
In addition to NCOA's Comedy Night Salute to the Troops, Combined Insurance also served as a sponsor for the association's Vanguard Awards Reception, where the NCOA honors a noncommissioned officer from each of the military services who has performed a heroic act, on or off duty, that resulted in the saving of a life or the prevention of serious injury.
"We are very grateful for the generous support we receive from organizations like Combined Insurance," says Clifford Davis, Executive Director of the NCOA. "Our association's credo is that many things of great need and importance can be accomplished in unity and cooperation. Our longstanding relationship with Combined Insurance proves that, and has given us the opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of our military veterans and their families."
