Included on Ward's 50 list for the seventh consecutive year, Combined Insurance is recognized for achieving outstanding financial results in the areas of safety, consistency, and performance over a five-year period (2011-2015).
Ward Group has provided benchmarking and best practices studies for the insurance industry since 1991. They release the Ward's 50 list each year to identify top performers, after an analysis of more than 700 life-health U.S.-based insurance companies.
To be included on the list and receive the Ward's 50 Seal, an insurance provider must surpass all safety and consistency tests, and achieve superior performance during the five years analyzed. Organizations are ranked in performance based on the following metrics:
- Five year average return on average equity
- Five year average return on average assets
- Five year average return on total revenue
- Five year growth in total revenue
- Five year growth in surplus
