InFOM survey in June, carried out at the Bank of Russia request noted stabilisation of inflation expectations on a higher level. Respondents hope for a better well-being, a lower unemployment and reduced corruption. At the same time, they sound less optimistic than a month ago as regards their own financial positions.

According to the survey, qualitative assessments of price growth over the last year did not change much. At the same time, respondents are more optimistic as regards price dynamics last month. A share of those speaking about booming prices reduced, while a share of those expecting a moderate price growth increased.

In June, consumer sentiments of the population under the environment of reduced purchasing power of incomes turned out less optimistic than a month ago. A share of respondents thinking the current time is not the best option for making big purchases reduced, but remained rather high at 46%.  More respondents say they have been buying cell phones and home appliances, as well as paying for vacationing and medical treatment over the last three months.

Most respondents still believe that free money should be saved, although there is a slight increase of those wishing to buy expensive goods.  Bank deposits are still the most popular cash saving method out of many offered to respondents.
