The Royal Bank of Scotland has extended its support of Scotland’s biggest agricultural event by another five years
OREANDA-NEWS. The Royal Bank of Scotland has extended its support of Scotland’s biggest agricultural event by another five years. This move will lead to 40 years of continued partnership.
The Royal Bank of Scotland has been a supporter of the Royal Highland Show since 1981. The Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS) organises the event which took place between June 23 and June 26 this year and is worth around £47m to the Scottish economy.More than 190,000 people were expected to attend the event. This year the event also featured stallholders and businesses assisted by Entrepreneurial Spark, the business incubator hub which is supported by The Royal Bank of Scotland.
Willie Gill, Chairman of the RHASS, said:
“We are delighted to have the renewed support of the Royal Bank of Scotland for the next five years, a proud partner of the Royal Highland Show since 1981. We will continue to develop relationships with like-minded organisations that recognise the valuable opportunities working with the RHASS presents."

The Royal Bank of Scotland’s relationship with the Royal Highland Show will now span four decades and is representative of our support and commitment to the industry across the country.
“Agriculture is hugely important to Scotland’s economy and it is important that as a bank we do everything that we can to help those operating within the sector and make sure our 31 agricultural specialists understand the unique issues the industry faces.”
