OREANDA-NEWS. ABN AMRO today announces that the Supervisory Board will nominate Mr Jurgen Stegmann for appointment to the Supervisory Board of ABN AMRO Group N.V. and ABN AMRO Bank N.V. for a term of four years. The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, which will be convened in the short term, will decide on his nomination. The nomination of Mr Jurgen Stegmann has been approved by the European Central Bank.

Jurgen Stegmann studied Law in Rotterdam and Utrecht and Financial Management in Tilburg. He started his career at MeesPierson and was a member of the Managing Board of Fortis Bank Nederland N.V. He then joined the Managing Board of NIBC N.V., where he was Chief Risk Officer. Thereafter Mr Stegmann was Chief Financial Officer of Robeco Groep N.V. for a number of years.
