OREANDA-NEWS. On 1 June 2016, Almaty (Republic of Kazakhstan) hosted the 12th meeting of the Advisory Board on Monetary Policy of Central (National) Banks of Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union (the EEU).

The meeting was attended by the Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan D.T. Akishev, First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia K.V. Yudaeva, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan O.A. Smolyakov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia V.G. Abrahamyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus S.V. Kalechits, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic N.Zh. Zhenish, and representatives of central (national) banks of EEU member-states.

Parties exchanges information on the current economic environment and the implementation of the monetary policy, and discussed cooperation on payment systems. The meeting considered joint efforts of central (national) banks to harmonise financial legislation.
