OREANDA-NEWS. On 31 May 2016 the Bank of Russia arranged the first-ever issue of silver proof coins in denomination of 3 and 25 rubles dedicated to the famous museum of the Armoury Chamber of the Moscow Kremlin.

The obverse side of the three-ruble coin bears the relief image of Monomakh’s Cap. The mintage of the coin is 3000 pcs. The 25-ruble coin bears a double throne of cesarevitch Ivan Alekseyevich and cesarevitch Peter Alekseyevich. The coin mintage is 1000 pcs.

The silver proof coin in denomination of 3 rubles is issued on the occasion of tercentenary of the founding of the city of Omsk. The obverse side of the coin bears places of interest of the city: Omsk State Academic Drama Theatre and Dormition Cathedral with inscription below: “Омск осн. в 1716 г.” (Omsk is founded in 1716). The coin mintage is 3000 pcs.

Two silver proof coins in denomination of 1 Ruble are issued of the series “История русской авиации” (The History of Russian Aviation). Ten commemorative coins of the series were issued from 2010 to 2014. The obverse side of one coin bears the relief image of Su-25 airplane on colour background, the other coin – the image of La-5 airplane also on the colour background. The mintage of each of the coins is 3000 pcs.

One more three-ruble silver proof coin is issued in honour of the twentieth Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum. Its obverse side bears the forum’s logo, partially in colour, as well as a shadow-figure of Peter the First Monument in Saint Petersburg. The coin mintage is 3000 pcs.

The image of the Great Palace in Peterhof crowned by Peter the First’s monogram is located on the obverse side of the silver proof coin in denomination of 25 rubles. The mintage of the coin “Большой Петергофский дворец” (the Great Palace in Peterhof) is 1500 pcs, the issue is of the series “Памятники архитектуры России” (the Architectural Monuments of Russia).

Commemorative silver proof coin in denomination of 3 rubles with a mintage of 2000 pcs is dedicated to 150th anniversary of the Notaries Regulation approval. The coin bears the emblem of the Federal Notarial Chamber and facsimile of Alexandre the Second’s signature.
