OREANDA-NEWS. ABN AMRO is set to lower its interest rate for two-year fixed-rate mortgages to 0.99 per cent starting on Friday 27 May. The current interest rate is 1.7 per cent.

The bank has decided to lower this rate in order to let clients benefit from current low interest rates. During the two-year fixed-rate period clients may, at any point in time, choose to switch to a different fixed-rate period.

Clients may also opt for an interest rate mix: a combination of fixed-rate periods for various tranches of their loan. This gives clients the flexibility they might need to address changes in their personal situation and market interest rates.
