Sberbank Deploys New Cash Machine Servicing Procedure in Moscow
OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank has completed a pilot project to increase the level of availability of its cash machines in Moscow. The project involved implementing a new servicing procedure using cash-in-transit couriers/technicians who carried out repairs and maintenance work.
The project has allowed the quality of repair work to be increased, reduced dependence on third-party repair companies, cut the amount of time spent on servicing cash machines, and as a result, lowered their downtime and optimised Sberbank's servicing expenses.
"The primary goal is to increase the availability of our network of cash machines for the convenience of local residents and guests in the capital. This project not only helped the bank bring cash machines back online faster, but also optimised the costs involved. In 2015 the provisional economic benefit of the project exceeded 19 mln roubles," commented Alexey Ponomarenko, Director of the Centre for Managing Money Circulation.
