OREANDA-NEWS Argentinean President Mauricio Macri signed a decree imposing restrictions on the purchase of dollars as a response to the depreciation of the peso.

The document is published in the Official Journal of the Argentine Republic.

Now, for the purchase and transfer of American currency, exporting companies must request permission from the Central Bank of Argentina. The restriction also applies to individuals, Argentines now have a monthly limit on the purchase of US currency in 10 thousand dollars.
