OREANDA-NEWS. A bill to amend the procedure for the formation of tariffs CTP approved by the government at the meeting on Thursday and will be introduced in the state Duma in the established order, the press service of the government of the Russian Federation.

The document envisages an increase in the freedom of insurers in determining the tariff, the cancellation of the dependence of price insurance from power and territory use, as well as an increase in payments for damage to life and health to 2 million rubles.

"The bill proposes to give insurers the right to independently determine the approach to the application of base rates of insurance tariffs within their maximum and minimum values, regulated by the Bank of Russia, taking into account the personal characteristics of the insured and persons allowed by it to control the vehicle (characteristics of the driving recorded by the telematics device, and the presence of such persons repeatedly administrative penalties for serious traffic violations)", — stated in the message of the Cabinet.

At the moment, said the Ministry, tariffs in MTPL is not always possible to establish fair value for the consumer taking into account his individual characteristics. It often happens that the accurate drivers and the reckless drivers pay for the policy in the same way.

From 1 October 2020 permissible deviation from the limits of the basic rates can be as high as 30% in both directions.
