OREANDA-NEWS. The shares of the Russian airline Aeroflot at the opening of trading on the Moscow Exchange fell by 7.5% to the closing level of the previous session, reaching 72 rubles per share, according to trading data at 10:00 Moscow time. By 10:10 Moscow time, shares of the air carrier continued to fall and traded at 71.5 rubles per share (-8.1%).

For the second time this week, the Russian stock market opened with a significant decrease in key indices amid a decision by the World Health Organization to recognize the outbreak of coronavirus as a pandemic and statements by US President Donald Trump on measures against the spread of coronavirus.

According to the data at 10:03 Moscow time, the Mosbirzhi index fell 4.6% to 2378.15 points. This is the minimum value since January 2019. The RTS index is down 6.8% to 1,011.98 points.
