OREANDA-NEWS  Investigators have opened a criminal case against a high-ranking employee of the subordinate service of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, suspected of receiving a bribe totaling 74 million rubles. About this was informed by the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The investigation began on the basis of the materials of the FSB audit. According to the investigation, from 2014 to 2021, an official who held various high-ranking positions in the departments of the Federal Highway Agency received illegal remuneration from an entrepreneur in the form of premium cars and property services. The total amount of donations for patronage exceeded 74 million rubles.

The suspect is being searched at his place of residence and work.

On October 24, Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg Transport Committee Renat Yagudin tried to get rid of the bribe and threw 2.5 million rubles on the road, but he was still detained by FSB officers.
