OREANDA-NEWS. August 08, 2016. UniCredit Group announced that it had signed framework agreement with SIA selling its card processing unit in Italy, Germany and Austria. Amounting to total EUR 500 m in cash, this transaction will generate a consolidated net capital gain of around €440 million for UniCredit in 2016.

At the same time the Group has agreed to enter into a ten year outsourcing contract with SIA for the provision of card processing services, allowing UniCredit Group to retain access to the same high quality standard of service.

The closing of the transaction is expected by the end of 2016.
