OREANDA-NEWS. The Sberbank Supervisory Board has held a meeting. The membership of the board was elected earlier today at the bank’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.

Sergey Ignatiev, Adviser to the Governor of the Bank of Russia, was elected Chairman of Sberbank’s Supervisory Board.

Georgy Luntovskiy, First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia and Alexey Kudrin, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences of Saint Petersburg State University, were elected Deputy Chairmen.

Gennady Melikyan, Honoured Economist of the Russian Federation, was elected Senior Independent Director.

The Supervisory Board also approved the preliminary plan of the board’s work in 2017-18 and the charters of the Committees.
