OREANDA-NEWS. All Sberbank clients who hold Visa Electron bank cards will be able to pay for purchases using Samsung Pay installed on their smartphones.

«We want all of our clients to be able to use the most convenient payment methods. Contactless payment via smartphones has found popularity among many of our clients, and starting from today will be available to everyone who holds a Sberbank Visa Electron card,» commented Svetlana Kirsanova, Head of Sberbank’s Transaction Business Division.

To pay for your purchase using Samsung Pay, choose the card on the smartphone screen and get the authorisation using a fingerprint. Samsung Pay uses three-way protection that secures user transactions. It is a unique service as it employs NFC (Near Field Communication) technology as well as Samsung’s proprietary Magnetic Secure Transmission technology. Thanks to this the service can be used at all payment devices with NFC and also those where bank cards with chips and magnetic strips are accepted.

Samsung Pay can be used on the following smartphones: Samsung: Galaxy S8 | S8+, Galaxy S7 edge | S7, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 | S6 Edge (only NFC), Galaxy Note5, Galaxy A7 (2017) | A5 (2017) | A3 (2017), Galaxy A7 (2016) | A5 (2016), Galaxy J7 (2017) | J5 (2017), and Gear S3 classic | frontier.
