Prudential earns WorldatWork 2017 Seal of Distinction
OREANDA-NEWS. Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE: PRU), has been honored with WorldatWork’s 2017 Seal of Distinction for demonstrating leadership in workplace strategies that promote work-life effectiveness and innovation.
Prudential is among 160 organizations in North America-and one of only 16 in the New Jersey-New York metro area-that will be recognized at WorldatWork’s upcoming conference in Washington, D.C., from May 7-10.
WorldatWork, a nonprofit human resources association, launched its recognition program in 2012, measuring applicants for the honor based on commitment from leadership, organizational resources, complexity of implementation and other factors. A sampling of employee programs evaluated include health and wellness plans, bonuses, short and long-term incentives, financial wellness, workforce flexibility, cultural initiatives and community involvement, and dependent care.
"Smart companies recognize the value in creating supportive workplaces that benefit the employee and the employer," says Dr. Andy Crighton, Prudential's chief medical officer. "Prudential's programs, such as child and adult care, paid parental leave, flexible work and behavioral health services, among others, are an acknowledgement that we care about our employees' lives outside of work and are committed to helping them succeed personally and professionally."
At Prudential, employees can tailor benefits to fit their own needs and priorities, through programs that include health and wellness, investments and retirement, education, work/life balance, legal assistance, and student debt assistance for campus recruits, among others.
