OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 March 2009 was announced, that on March 11, 2009 FORTS Members transacted a record number of trades.

By the end of the main trading session 307,250 trades were made in futures and options.

The previous record was set on February 11, 2009 when 297,274 derivatives trades were executed.

March 11, 2009 also saw a record number of trades in the RTS Index futures, most liquid instrument of the RTS derivatives market – 191,398.

The previous record was registered on November 25, 2008, with FORTS Members entering into 162,294 trades in the RTS Index futures.
