OREANDA-NEWS. On 17 March 2008 was announced, that during the week of March 3rd – 7th, 2008, RTS Index is down by 2,49% and reached 2012,65 (2063,94 as of February 29th, 2008). Leaders of negative impact on RTS Index became: Sberbank ordinary shares (SBER) (-14,56), Gazprom ordinary shares (GAZP) (-12,79), ОАО "LUKOIL" ordinary shares (LKOH) (-7,97).

The "second-tier" stock index – RTS-2 – is down by 1,45% to 2573,70 (2611,49 as of February 29th, 2008). Last week practically all key sectors, represented on the Russian stock market, showed negative trend. Financials showed the highest drop: RTS Index – Financials is down by 5,63%, comparing with the end of the last week. However a significant rise was registered in Industrial: RTS Index – Industrial is up by 3,57.

Total trading volume on RTS for the week March 3rd – 7th, 2008 equaled 5,4 bln dollars (129,2 bln rubles), including all types of trades as well as over-the-counter trades.

The week's top sellers were RAO UESR (EESR) ordinary shares - \\$74,671 mln, Sberbank ordinary shares (SBER) - \\$57,211 mln, OJSC "MMC "NORILSK NICKEL" ordinary shares (GMKN) - \\$43,658 mln. The share of each security in total trading volume made up 26,32%, 20,16% and 15,39% accordingly.

The week's top gainers were OJSC "GAZ" (GAZA) ordinary shares – by 13,81% and reached \\$206, OJSC "Company "M.video" ordinary shares (MVID) – by 8,11% and reached \\$8 and JSC "Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant" ordinary shares (CHZN), that went up by 7,08% and reached \\$12,1.
The week's top losers were JSC Dorogobuzh privileged shares (DGBZP), that went down by 17,65% and reached \\$0,56, OAO "TMK" ordinary shares (TRMK), that closed – 12,78% down at \\$7,85 per share, and JSC Acron ordinary shares (AKRN), that posted – 12,64% loss at \\$76.
