RTS Indices

By the results of 2007 RTS Index is up by 19,2% and at the end of trading session on December 28th, 2007 it reached 2290,51. Lowest RTS Index value last year -  1724,7 – was registered on may 30th, and on December 12th it reached its historical maximum - 2359,85.

The second-tier stock index, RTS-2, increased by 43,1% and reached - 2629,56. The lowest value of RTS Index – 2 in 2007 was registered on January 11th - 1788,6, and on December 28th, the Index reached its historical maximum -  2629,56.

In 2007, the range of RTS sectoral indices joined “RTS Index – Electric Utilities” and “RTS Index – Financials”.

RTS leaders of turnover and price change

RTS trading volume leaders in 2007 became Gazprom (GAZP) ordinary shares, turnover of which made up $102,1 bln, second place is taken by ОАО "LUKOIL" (LKOH) - $46,4 bln, the third place is occupied by RAO UESR (EESR) - $41,0.

RTS Leaders of Price Change

JSC Uralkali ordinary shares (+406,49%), Raspadskaya OJSC (+252,30%) and Belgorodenergo ordinary shares (+248,28%) took the lead in the table of RTS top gainers on the RTS Classic market in 2007.

In 2007 RTS top losers were Surgutneftegas privileged shares (-42,14%), Chitaenergo ordinary shares (-38,46%) and URALSIB ordinary shares (-33,03%). 

RTS Leading Operators in 2007 (Classic and T+O markets)

In 2007, The Asset management company "Troika Dialog" retained the leading position, second position took UBS Securities CJSC. Deutsche Securities ZAO occupied the third position, having left behind Renaissance Broker. On the fifth line of the rating - METROPOL IFCo. Ltd.
