OREANDA-NEWS. January 12, 2008. Following the quarterly revision of the composition of the MICEX10 Index, the MICEX added common shares in VTB Bank and preference shares in Surgutneftegaz to the Index composition, the MICEX press service informs. Common shares in Polus Zoloto and preference shares in Sberbank were excluded from the composition of the Index.

Thus, the composition of the MICEX10 Index for the period of 11 January — 2 April 2008 will include the following stocks:

      1. Gazprom (common shares);

      2. Norilsk Nickel (common shares);

      3. LUKoil (common shares);

      4. Sberbank (common shares);

      5. RAO UES (common shares);

      6. VTB Bank (common shares);

      7. Rosneft (common shares);

      8. Surgutneftegaz (common shares);

      9. Surgutneftegaz (preference shares);

      10. Tatneft (common shares).

The MICEX10 Index has been published since March 19, 2001. The initial value of the Index, calculated for December 30, 1997, 18:00, Moscow time, was 100 points. The MICEX10 is a price, non-weighted, index calculated as the arithmetic mean of changes in the prices for 10 most liquid stocks admitted to trading on the MICEX Stock Exchange. The MICEX10 Index reflects in real time (from 10:30 till 17:45) growth of the value of the portfolio comprised of 10 stocks the weights of which are equal on the first trading day of the quarter.
