OREANDA-NEWS. On November 14–16, 2007, Siberian Chemical Combine is hosting conference of young specialists and post-graduates "Young Specialists of Enterprises of Nuclear Fuel Cycle: Science and Production", Rosatom informs with reference to to the press service of Minatom (Ministry of Atomic Industry).

Representatives of Siberian Chemical Combine, Rosatom companies, Rosenegoatom NPPs, research institutes and specialized universities are taking part in the conference. They are discussing a wide range of questions – from development of technologies in nuclear power industry and economy to radiation, and ecological safety and personnel policy. The best reporters will be presented with special awards.

The conferees are also supposed to visit the SCC History Museum and the reactor plant, and to take part in a bowling contest.

The top managers - the deputy chief engineers Valery Lazarchuk and Gennady Andreyev, advisor of the director general Gennady Khandorin, and head of department Boris Pirogoff SCC - made reports.

On November 15, the head of Nuclear and Radiation Safety and Licensing Department of Rosatom Alexander Agapov and the director general of SCC Vladimir Korotkevich made reports within the Radiation and Ecological Safety section.The co-chairman of the organizing committee of the conference Vasily Tintin said: "Why are we holding this conference? First of all, because we have young specialists who love their profession and seek to improve their skills. This conference gives them such an opportunity. Second, any conference is always communication, exchange of experience and views. It is an opportunity for young people to establish new contacts with their peers from other companies."
