Transmashholding to Ship 32 Rusich Subway Cars to Moscow Metro in 2007
OREANDA-NEWS. CJSC Transmashholding shipped 10 Rusich metro cars designed and manufactured by JSC Metrowagonmash to the Moscow metro in October, 2007, the press service of Transmashholding reported. Another 32 cars of the model will be shipped by the end of the year.
According to the company's press release, the shipments are performed under the contract for delivery of 137 Rusich cars concluded on December 1, 2005. One of the latest shipments under the contract was performed on October 24, 2007 and comprised 2 head and three intermediate cars.
A total of 105 such cars are placed in operation at the Moscow metro.
It is noteworthy that the new-generation Rusich cars launched into production in 2003 integrate state-of-the-art technologies of the Russian rolling stock building. The Rusich cars are under explotation not only in the largest Russian subways, but also abroad, for example, in the Bulgarian capital city of Sofia.
