Oil prices in Asia fall below $61 per barrel
OREANDA-NEWS. Futures contracts for oil continued their nosedive, dropping below $61 due to stable high reserves in the USA and despite plans of OPEC members Nigeria and Venezuela to cut oil extraction.
Futures contracts for US light with deliveries in November fell by 16 cents to $60.87 per barrel in the wake of a Monday $1.88 drop after reports about 7-year US distillate reserves.
