OREANDA-NEWS.The EBRD's board of directors is going to consider an EUR 200mn loan to the Ukrainian main power grid operator Ukrenergo on November 6, 2007. The loan is to be allocated to financing the construction of a main high voltage trunk connecting Rovno Nuclear Power Station with a substation in the capital, Kiev.

The granting of the loan will help the country bring its infrastructure closer to UCTE compliance requirements and will improve interconnections of western Ukrainian power stations with the quickly developing capital, which is good news for Zakhidenergo, Millennium Capital's experts reckon.
