OREANDA-NEWS. July 17, 2012. Vladimir Putin visited the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, toured the plant’s cold roll steel production, participated in the launch of continuous annealing and continuous galvanising cold-rolling units, and spoke with the company’s employees.

Later, the President held a meeting on the state and development prospects of the steel industry. In particular, the meeting addressed issues of investing in developing the sector, technical re-equipment and creating new jobs, as well as conforming to environmental standards and implementing environmentally-safe technologies in metallurgical production.
