OREANDA-NEWS. December 23, 2011. Today in Baku President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has received Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq Khoshiyar Zibari.

Kh. Zibari sent regards from Iraq President Jalal Talabani and Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki to head of Azerbaijani state. He thanked I. Alieyv for Azerbaijani contingent’s participation in peace making forces in Iraq and pointed at cultural similarity of the two countries’ peoples. He spoke for strengthening of two countries’ relations and I. Aliyev noted that there are all opportunities for partnership  strengthening.

Azerbaijani President expressed hope that the country’s Embassy will open in Iraq in the nearest future.
