OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2011. Li Hongzhang’s former residence was recently chosen as one of the top ten major brands for the tourism industry in the Anhui province.

The house belonged to Li Hongzhang, the Minister of Military in the late Qing Dynasty. It is located in the middle of Walking Street in Hefei city which is a typical residential building in the Jianghuai area. It has a neat layout, strict structure and is richly ornamented. It covers an area of 2 thousand square meters and is the largest remaining celebrity residence in Hefei city.

In 1998, Li Hongzhang’s former residence was announced as the key protection building in Hefei. It attracts large numbers of tourists with its unique architectural style and rich cultural connotation.

The Municipal Bureau of Culture Press Publication said that, "the brand of Li Hongzhang’s former residence is still in its initial stage of development and is of great significance to be further developed.”
