OREANDA-NEWS. August 29, 2011. Defence Minister Anatoly Serdyukov briefed Dmitry Medvedev on the successful regular test launch of the intercontinental ballistic missile Bulava from the Yury Dolgoruky nuclear submarine.

The launch was conducted in the morning on August 27 in the White Sea from a submerged position in line with the state flight development tests at a maximum flight range of the missile, the Defence Minister reported.

The missile’s warheads were successfully delivered to the specified target area of the Pacific Ocean at the appointed time and in full compliance with maritime security regulations.
