OREANDA-NEWS. October 19, 2010. Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov, Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev and President of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov briefed Dmitry Medvedev on the special operation following a militants’ attack on the Chechen Parliament.

This morning a group of militants launched an attempt to penetrate the Chechen Parliament. According to preliminary information, two law enforcement officers and a civilian employee were killed and seventeen people were wounded. The militants have been destroyed.
