Russian Transport Ministry Initiates Changes in Border Control
OREANDA-NEWS. October 08, 2010. The Ministry of Transport of Russia has developed and submitted for consideration to the federal executive authorities the amendments draft to the Russia’s state border law, under which a vessel sailing between Russian ports (coastal traffic) and crossing the state border will be exempted from the additional border control.
Alexei Klyavin, the Director of a Transport Ministry department told reporters in St. Petersburg.
According to the official, after consultation with federal authorities draft amendments will be handed over to the Ministry of Justice of Russia, and then for consideration by the government.
Besides, Russian Ministry of Transport has also developed a change in the law on the state border, lifting commission inspections of vessels at the country’s seaports.
