OREANDA-NEWS. March 19, 2010. General of the Army Nikolai Makarov, Chief of the General Staff, Russian Armed Forces is expected to arrive in Swiss Confederation on March 14. During his stay in Bern he will discuss bilateral defence cooperation with Lieutenant General Andrй Blattmann - Chief of the Armed Forces of Switzerland. Chief of the General Staff is set to disscuss the possibility of exchanging of experience in the field of mounting units training on a reciprocal basis.

While on his four-day visit, General of the Army Nikolai Makarov will visit Armour and Artillery Training Centre, Thun. He will also visit Mountain-infantry Training Centre in Andermatt.
