OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2010. The President laid flowers at a monument to the writer and talked with local residents. He then visited the Chekhov House Museum in the house the writer was born in, and the Taganrog Chekhov Drama Theatre, where he watched a rehearsal of the performance Everything Starts in Childhood, dedicated to Anton Chekhov.

Mr Medvedev later visited the Literary Museum, located in the building of the boys’ classical school, where Chekhov studied, and met with representatives of the Russian and foreign theatrical communities, with whom he discussed the problems facing theatre today.
