OREANDA-NEWS. September 1, 2009. The President congratulated the school's students and teachers on the beginning of the school year.

Dmitry Medvedev talked to students entering first grade and then senior students showed the President and first graders around the school.

Mr Medvedev spoke with teachers about the merits and shortcomings of the National Final School Exam (EGE) and promised to discuss the remuneration of teachers working in schools that promote inclusive education with the Ministry of Education and Science.
 
School 518, in the centre of Moscow, is an inclusive educational institution attended by ordinary schoolchildren and children with disabilities. The school is part of an experiment on the development of inclusive education. In the future such schools will be established in each district of Moscow. The inclusive education system will also include kindergartens, centres for psychological and educational rehabilitation, and special (correctional) centres.
