OREANDA-NEWS. An economic forum, Moldova Prezinta (Moldova Presents) will be held in Prague on 7-8 September 2009. The event is organised under the patronage of the Economics and Trade Ministry in concert with the Moldova Investment Wooing and Export Promotion Organisation (MIEPO).

The above forum will be a vast event, and will have a basic place in the programme on export's promotion for 2009.

The head of the investment's wooing department at MIEPO, Andrei Trifautan, has said that the forum's main goals are: wooing Czech investments to Moldova, creating an image of Moldova as a country with advantageous business opportunities, as compared to the other states of the region, focusing Czech investors' attention on some sectors of the national economy, such as agriculture, textile industry, constructions, banking sector, etc.

The forum also aims at wooing investments to the Free Economic Zones working in Moldova, as well as at extending the bilateral economic ties between Moldova and the Czech Republic, both at the level of economic agents, and at the governmental one, Trifautan stressed.

Data by the National Statistics Bureau show that the Czech Republic is among Moldova's top economic partners in carrying out exports. Thus, Moldovan goods estimated at two million dollars were exported to the Czech market in January-June 2009.
