Dmitry Medvedev Sent His Condolences to President of Pakistan
OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2009. Dmitry Medvedev sent his condolences to President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari following the terrorist attack in Peshawar.
The President said, in particular, in his telegram:
“It was with sorrow and outrage that I learned of the latest barbaric attack carried out by terrorists – the explosion at a hotel in Peshawar that has killed and wounded innocent people.
I am sure that this criminal act will only strengthen Pakistan’s resolve to continue its active fight against terrorism, and you can count on Russia’s full support in this combat.
Mr President, please accept my sincere condolences. We have no doubt that those who organised and carried out this inhuman act will be found and punished. I ask you to pass on my sincere sympathy and support to the victims’ families and wish all who were injured in these tragic events in Peshawar a speedy recovery”.
