OREANDA-NEWS. February 19, 2009. The head of state spoke with trainees and toured the training facilities and simulators for driving tanks and performing combat missions.

When answering the trainees' questiosn, the President said that in the process of revising the budget, money set aside for the acquisition of new weapons and the implementation of social programmes for the military would not be reduced.

This is the largest training centre for the Armed Forces in the Russian Federation. It prepares specialists for motorised, tank and artillery units, as well as for anti-aircraft defence units and those that defend against radiation, chemical and biological warfare.
