Norwegian Authorities Dissatisfied with Russian Law on Fish
OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 February 2009 was announced, that the Norwegian authorities are dissatisfied with coming into force of the new Russian law, ordering to deliver all fish caught in the Russian economic zone, is exclusive in the Russian ports. The minister of a fishing industry of Norway Helga Pedershen at a meeting with journalists has told, that the Russian side decision breaks principles of free trade. Helga Pedershen considers cooperation with Russia in fishery sphere as a whole successful. This year to questions at issue the law passed by Russia on delivery of the Russian fish in our ports was added. In Barents sea extract about a quarter of all Russian fish. For Norway on which coasts settlements and where rybopererabotka - one of economy bases, the termination of delivery of the Russian fish on factories - painful blow have grown.
The minister of a fishing industry of Norway Helga Pedershen has told: "the Panic while is not present, but these restrictions are represented strange. Fish should be delivered there where there are conditions more favourable to the fisherman. It is impossible to take measures which break a freedom of commerce".
While madam Pedershen is not ready to do conclusions. Possible consequences now miscalculate, fish department tries to find variants of an exit from this situation. The reference of the Norwegian authorities to the Russian government becomes one of them. Helga Pedershen says, that hopes to convince the head of Federal agency on Andrey Krajnego's fishery that similar decisions should be accepted in common.
