OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2009. The meeting was devoted to preparations for celebrating the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The Victory organising committee was created in 2000 by presidential decree. Its main tasks include: preparing and carrying out activities in connection with the events of Russia’s military history, the implementation of social support measures for veterans, promoting cultural and academic relations with foreign countries and organisations of veterans on questions of military history, and addressing the problems of veterans.
