OREANDA-NEWS. December 22, 2008. The concert was organized in the framework of the New Peredvizhniki (Wanderers) project carried out under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture of Russia with the support of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation.

The concert was one of the most remarkable cultural events that have taken place in the city so far and a real New Year gift for music lovers.

Accompanied by the Symphonic Orchestra of Krasnoyarsk State Theater of Opera and Ballet, the guests sang Tchaikovsky’s Yevgeny Onegin. The singers had really magic voices and performed the genial opera magnificently.

This year Zelenogorsk received lots of artists: soloists of Yekaterina the Great Orchestra, jazzman Grigory Fain, chorus of St.Daniel Monastery (Moscow), group of Dmitry Pokrovsky, ballet etoilles of the Bolshoi and actors of Taganka Theater.

The objective of New Peredvizhniki project is to make art accessible to the wide public and to cultivate high morality and patriotism among the younger generation.

Rosatom joined the project in 2006. Since then the project has visited lots of “nuclear cities” so as to bring together high technologies and high art.
