OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2008. Yesterday Russian Minister of Defence Anatoly Serdyukov had a meeting with Lebanese Defence Minister Elias Murr.

The parties have discussed questions of defence and military-technical cooperation.

Mr. Serdyukov said Moscow had received a weapons procurement list from the Lebanese armed forces which would be considered in the near future.

After a meeting with his Russian counterpart, Lebanese Defence Minister said Russia will supply Lebanon with 10 MiG-29 fighters.

Before the beginning of talks Anatoly Serdyukov has handed over to the Lebanese colleague a medal of the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation "For strengthening of fighting commonwealth".
