OREANDA-NEWS. On November 04, 2008, in the framework of the Training Vocational Centre of the Republic of Moldova, about  20 specialists from different companies learned the art of public speaking.

The seminar under the title "Public Speaking PS 101" was organized in English. The course was dedicated to people who would like to make better their communication skills ahead of an audience.

The participants were taught by Nicholas Xitas, an international trainer from Cyprus. The expert has a wide experience in this field, organizing such seminars in Greet Britain, Cyprus and other countries from Central and East Europe.

In the framework of the seminar, the participants learned how to hold a speech, how to control the body language, how to conquer and maintain the audience attention while speaking. They worked in teams and put into practice the obtained abilities during the training, being guided by the trainer.

Being inquired about the necessity of participation  at the similar trainings, the expert Nicholas Xitas asserted, that the organization of similar seminars are necessary, because most of the persons knows English very well, are good specialists, but they cannot hold a speech ahead the audience. Also he emphasized the fact that in dependence of the speaker vocation, people create an image regarding him. Real specialists indifferent the field they work, won't neglect this aspect.

 The participants at the event told that the new knowledges and abilities would have a positive influence in their future activity. The work in team gave the chance to comprehend certain problems, to exercise and to apply into the practice the rules which from theoretically point of view most of them knew. 

The seminar "Public Speaking PS 101" was organized by the Training Vocational Centre of the CCI of Moldova in partnership with Mediterranean Centre for Public Speaking and Communications. Similar courses took place in most countries of Central and East Europe. For interested persons this training can be organized repetead.
