OREANDA-NEWS. On October 02, 2008 International exhibitions Mining World Uzbekistan, ChemPlastAsia Uzbekistan, PromUpak Uzbekistan and Machinery Central Asia in Tashkent in the framework of the Central Asian Industrial Week, reported the Official website www.mtrk.uz.

The event has been organized by the ministries of foreign economic relations, investments and trade, economy, agriculture and water resources, Commerce and Industry Chamber, State Geology Committee, companies Uzbekneftgaz, Uzkimyosanoat and Uzbekenergo, Tashkent city administration and the international exhibition company ITE Uzbekistan.

Opening the forum, chairman of the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources N.Mavlanov noted that reforms carried out for modernization of industrial enterprises, introduction of new technologies and improvement of investment environment were giving notable results.

The country is continuously increasing the volumes of industrial production. Industrial output in 2007 increased by 12.1%, and its share in the gross domestic product made up 25%. As a result, macroeconomic stability is strengthening.

More than 60 companies from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, China, Germany, Italy, the Republic of Korea, Sweden, Finland, Indonesia, Ukraine and Turkey are demonstrating their products and services at the exhibitions.
