OREANDA-NEWS. September 8, 2008. The Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of Azerbaijan keeps discussing the conditions of the National Computer Project with world vendors.

The Ministry informed Fineko/abc.az that at present the final proposals on the National Computer Projects are being worked on.

“When we discuss our proposals with Microsoft and Intel we will submit them to the Cabinet of Ministers,” the Ministry informed.

The project will start in 2009.

The workgroup of the experts of the Ministry and above-listed corporations has already held some sessions.

The subject of the project sides’ debates was the matter of actual value of the computer with taking into account inflation factors and definition of the population’s layers to be able to buy a computer at preferential price.

National Computer Project sets goal to provide the population with computers on attractive terms, expand domestic computer manufacture and provide computers with licensed software.
