Children from Gomel Oblast Learn Leadership Skills in Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2008. Schoolchildren from the Gomel oblast are taking part in the Monolit international camp located near Kursk (Russia).
The Belarusian delegation composed of 20 people is represented by the youth from Gomel and the Rogachev region. The camp will gather young people from different parts of Russia and Ukraine. The programme of the camp features cultural and educational events aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, popularizing national culture and traditions, strengthening friendly ties between the youth of Slavonic states.
Apart from traditional activities, this camp organizes special training classes that help children develop management and leadership skills.
The camp is running through August 3. At the end of the training classes, winners will be chosen in several categories.
Schoolchildren from the Gomel oblast and Kursk have had friendly relations for a long time. The children from Kursk take part in the Krynichka international recreation camp of Slavonic children (the Rogachev region) and in other cultural events.
