OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2008. The meeting discussed the agency’s work on monitoring land currently in the hands of state establishments and not being used, or being used for other purposes. The agency has been instructed to assess the amount of such land suitable for housing construction, evaluate all possibilities in this area and take part in the government’s work on drawing up the necessary bylaws.

Mr Medvedev said that the Federal Law ‘On Facilitating the Development of Housing Construction’, which he has just signed, will see the creation of a special fund, to which the land released from management by state establishments will be transferred.
