OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2008. Responding to Mr Medvedev’s questions, Mr Kadyrov spoke about organising summer holidays for children in Chechnya and said that he has prepared documents for the President on rebuilding the republic’s holiday resorts.

Mr Kadyrov also reported on the upcoming parliamentary election in the republic. In line with amendments to the republic’s constitution, approved in a referendum on December 2, 2007, Chechnya’s bicameral parliament will become a single-chamber legislative assembly.
