OREANDA-NEWS. July 24, 2008. Russian journalists will get familiar with the innovation development of Belarus during a press tour that will be held on July 30-August 1. The press tour is organized by the Permanent Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia and the National Press Centre of Belarus with the help of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia.

Participating in the press tour will be 40 reporters working for the Russian and Belarusian central media. The journalists will meet with representatives of Belarusian ministries and governmental bodies, leading scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, representatives of scientific and educational institutions and heads of industrial enterprises. They will discuss the ways to enhance the economic cooperation between Russian and Belarusian regions, expand their interaction in the innovation and investment areas, to improve the living standards of people and develop human potential.

During the three days of the press tour, the journalists will take part in a number of round tables and press conferences dedicated to the innovation development of Belarus, visit industrial enterprises of the Gomel and Mogilev oblasts. The programme of the press tour includes a meeting with Governor of the Gomel oblast Alexander Yakobson and a press conference given by First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko.
