Vladimer Gurgenidze Participated at 7th General Meeting of CAN
OREANDA-NEWS. On June 25, in Sheraton Metekhi Palace, the 7th general meeting of the Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia was held. The Prime Minister of Georgia Vladimer Gurgenidze took part in the said meeting.
It was in 1998 that the Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia was established. The network covers the transition economies of central, eastern and southern Europe, as well as the countries of the Caucasus and central Asia; the network also includes the member countries of the Organization for Economic Development and Cooperation. The CAN is targeted at extending help and support to the member countries engaged in the struggle against corruption by way of promotion of anti-corruption activities, exchange of information and coordination of the donors.
A special session was dedicated to sharing Georgia’s experience in combating corruption.
